GENERAL
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
TERMS:
We encourage payment upon the receipt of your invoice.
Our terms are Net 30 Days from the “Invoice Date” marked on the top
of your invoice.
To be eligible for Net 30 terms, an “Application
to Purchase on Open Account” must be submitted by the customer and
approved by Birchwood Lighting, Inc.
Any invoice not paid within thirty days of the Invoice Date is considered
past due and will be charged 1 1/2% of the outstanding balance per month until
it is paid in full.
Orders received when an account is past due may be held until payment is
received on all past due invoices.
FREIGHT:
Freight will be prepaid and allowed on each order or partial release
thereof with a net total of
$5000.00 or more within the continental United States.
The consignee must make all claims for loss or damage to the carrier.
All shipments will be made via the carrier selected by Birchwood
Lighting, Inc. unless other arrangements are made at the time of ordering.
RETURNS:
No merchandise may be returned without prior written
authorization from the factory.
Custom fixtures are non-returnable.
All returns of stock items are subject to a minimum 30% handling and
factory inspection charge, except on products considered by Birchwood Lighting
to be defective in workmanship and/or material.
Fixtures that have been installed, wired, tested, used or altered from
their original form in any way are non-returnable.
All fixtures returned must be sent back to the factory in their original
cartons.
Any damages incurred in shipment will have a dollar amount assessed to
them by the factory and that dollar amount will be deducted from the credit
being given to the purchaser.
MINIMUMS:
A service charge of $25.00 will be added to all orders with a net total
of less than $50.00.
PRICING:
Prices are subject to change at any time without notice.
Orders will be billed at the prices prevailing at the time of shipment.
GUARANTEE
Birchwood
Lighting, Inc. products are all carefully tested and inspected at the factory
and are guaranteed to be free of material and workmanship defects when shipped.
Any equipment that is proven to be defective in material or workmanship
will be repaired or replaced at Birchwood Lighting’s expense upon written
authorization, provided that such claim is made within one year from the date of
shipment.
Birchwood Lighting will not pay labor charges or assume any
responsibility for labor expended or material used to replace or repair any
equipment without prior written authorization.
This Guarantee shall not apply to products that have been altered,
improperly used or installed, or repaired by anyone other than an authorized
Birchwood Lighting representative.
Some ballast and lamp manufacturers supply warranties in excess of the
Birchwood Lighting one-year guarantee.
Please contact the appropriate manufacturer for information on those
warranties. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied. Birchwood Lighting products are designed to work as a system. This system is U.L. Listed. The use of other manufacturers’ equipment in conjunction with Birchwood Lighting products may be hazardous and therefore automatically voids all warranties.
