Birchwood Lighting was specified by Lighting Designers “Visual Terrain” to provide recessed linear fluorescent fixtures for the valet overhang in the coves for the Choctaw Casino Project in Durant, Ok. This was one of the first big recessed projects Birchwood had worked on, which consisted of modified Kelsey 325 fixtures with 1” trim and staggered lamps. We had to bend slight radiuses on the housings, as well as have the corners meet in a miter. As you can see from the photos, the project was a great success and it was a great opportunity to be a part of such a great project with Award Winning Lighting Designers, Visual Terrain!

This project kicked off our pursuit to develop an entire new recessed line that debuted at Lightfair 2011 in Philly. The Line consists of a variety of sizes and options to fit your project. Available in linear fluorescent and LED, the fixtures are aluminum extrusions that can be seamlessly connected for seamless continuous runs, as well as miter cut to go around and inside or outside corner. All of the housings will accommodate integral ballasts, integral divers, em, and dimming. There are a variety of flat and drop extruded lenses and baffles available. We are looking forward to be in full production by the end of the year on all of the sizes and options! The 325 trim and trimless are in stock and available to order now.
